The coasts of Mokran, Makran or Makuran – as it is pronounced by the local people – is a region located in Iran’s southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan and Pakistan’s southwestern Baluchistan province. Coasts of Mokran are considered one of the most important and most Strategic Region in the Middle East and Central Asia.  Given the Mokran coasts importance for Iran’s economy, in recent years, Iran begun vast planning to exploit the potential of this area.
